Barricade 04:07
Never turn away You can break the barricade Finding life, alive again Terror stands between you And the place you want to be Looming dark, consuming everything The pain you know you must endure Is all your eyes can see All your dreams demanding you to bleed The barricade, it blocks the way There is no way around It’s driving you like death, into the ground Never turn away You can break the barricade Finding life, alive again Now, become life As you rise on the enigma We are all deranged inside Waiting for our dead hearts to rise But you can be brave As your body breaks the barricade Pay the price ‘Till your sacrifice is life The barricade, it blocks the way There is no way around But now you’re driving death into the ground Never turn away You can break the barricade Finding life, alive again Break, break the barricade Break, break the barricade Break, break the barricade (solo - Jericho Leal) Never turn away You can break the barricade Finding life, alive again

So bright, she’s the dark light* that awakened me She’s a shadow, she’s as radiant as day Shadowed underneath her wings of soaring melody Secret angel**, with a message saving me A sweetness that’s this deep is far from quaint The lion may be good but He’s not tame*** When you see her face she’ll say “don’t be afraid”**** Her brightness blinds you but your eyes can’t look away And her glow proves that she’s not just one of us She’s from heaven but she’s oh so dangerous “Breathe”, she tells me, “take a burst of bravery” Wings on my feet, gaining speed and unafraid She propels me fearlessly to destiny^ Living too fast for shame to make us hesitate A sweetness that’s this deep is far from quaint The lion may be good but He’s not tame When you see her face she’ll say “don’t be afraid” Her brightness blinds you but your eyes can’t look away And her glow proves that she’s not just one of us She’s from heaven but she’s oh so dangerous And we live fast, so fast Nothing can stop us now ‘Cause we live fast, so fast Not slowing down (Guitar solo – Maxwell Kozen) And we live fast, so fast Nothing can stop us now ‘Cause we live fast, so fast Not slowing down (Guitar solo – Jericho Leal)

There’s so much you won’t let go So gripped by the emptiness You won’t show it but I know You’ve sunken into distress All that you refuse to face Leaves you guarded and austere Hiding an arcane disgrace And living enslaved to fear Don’t you want to feel a little more alive And live with open eyes? ‘Cause if you can believe, you’ll find you’re just in time To leave it all behind You have carried endless war Inside of your mind Picture now an open door And take back the time Don’t you wanna feel a little more alive And live with open eyes? ‘Cause if you can believe, you’ll find you’re just in time To leave it all behind With open eyes Don’t you wanna feel a little more alive And live with open eyes? ‘Cause if you can believe, you’ll find you’re just in time To leave it all behind

Clouds on fire Caught between a perfect day and night A better dream inspired A wish for something more out of this life I’m making up for lost time Got a new frame of mind Felt the summer rising inside Somewhere I’ve never been I’m coming home again And when I let the light come in Summer never ends Sunlight transcendence Between earth and heaven Where summer never ends One through seven Season measureless embrace Floating between earth and heaven Soaking up the summer days A sacred space in time, The scenery sublime Feel the summer rise inside You’re coming home again Somewhere you’ve never been With candy heavens painted red Lift up your head Summer never ends Sunlight transcendence Between earth and heaven Where summer never ends (guitar solo - Richie Nguyen) Summer never ends Sunlight transcendence Between earth and heaven Where summer never ends credits

It was the little things that left me wondering You won me over at the start We grew together, heart to heart But there were little things That left me wondering Did you want me to be somebody else? Did you want me to be somebody else? Did you need me to go and change myself? Did you want me to be somebody else? What did you want me to be? Go on and tell me about me How I should act, how I should think When I should catch my own feelings It's all the little things And every time you cut me out I had these doubts And I've tried to push 'em down But now I've found that it's hard To not believe these little things That have left me wondering Did you want me to be somebody else? Did you want me to be somebody else? Did you need me to go and change myself? Did you want me to be somebody else? What did you want me to be? Since when did you define me? And when did you design me? How long have you reviled me? I've had enough It was the little things that left me wondering I still believe A dream about who I wish we could be Did you want me to be somebody else? Did you want me to be somebody else? Did you need me to go and change myself? Did you want me to be somebody else? Did you want me to be somebody else? When I finally decide to protect myself I'll be putting what we had on the shelf Or just maybe you'll make me knock it down Dashing all of our memories to the ground If you need me to go and change myself Even down to the things I just can't help If you want me to be somebody else Maybe I should be first to say farewell

Bitterly I fixate on another wasted day Jitter-thinking sinks me in my self-inflicted shame Slithering like a serpent, my regret constricts my strength I’m drowning in the wake Reflecting on today It seems like such a waste I feel like I’ve done nothing, and all the things I did Are drowning in a million better things I should have been My scattered thoughts have once again Left me in this unsettled state This coil of overthought mistakes Is binding me, I suffocate Now I’m running out of time At my limit, wondering why I’m always running out of time again (time and time again) Now I’m barely keeping pace Stuck, somehow, running in place And everything I chased left me behind Watch my most hopeful dreams Betraying me Oh I can’t stand to think I’d waste another chance And watch another moment slip right through my hands But my unwarranted regret Becomes the pressure in my head Am I even worth another chance to try again? (Chance to try again) Now I’m running out of time At my limit, wondering why I’m always running out of time again (time and time again) Now I’m barely keeping pace Stuck, somehow, running in place And everything I chased left me behind Fixate (Fixate) Mistakes I hate (Mistakes) This waste Fixate (I hate) Mistakes I hate (This waste) This waste Fixated - Time wasted I hate the way my mind is made Fixation temptation Send every hour to the grave Fidgety and anxious Suppressing agitated screams Fixated - Time wasted I hate my self-defeating dreams

Throw it away to the wind and start again We built a wall made out of words To try to keep us safe We built that wall into towers With keepers at the gates Now I want to find out what is real Not just what they told me I should feel I saw a light from the outside A window opened wide And if I don’t belong here in this place Let the walls give way; they can’t keep me safe And if the words are wrong, find out what’s fake Throw it away to the wind and start again Backspace on bricks around the frame Remove the windowpanes The wind could blow this house away Erase the phrases out of place My faith, my heart rose to the wind And I don’t know where it will lead me I don’t know where to begin But I’ll take my chances just to find a firmer foundation And if I don’t belong here in this place Let the walls give way; they can’t keep me safe And if the words are wrong, find out what’s fake Throw it away to the wind and start again Let the walls give way Let the walls give way Backspace what’s fake, throw it away They can’t keep me safe I’ll hold to my faith and find a new way I’ll find a new way And if I don’t belong here in this place Let the walls give way; they can’t keep me safe And if the words are wrong, find out what’s fake Throw it away to the wind and start again And if I don’t belong here in this place Throw it away to the wind and start again And if the words are wrong, find out what’s fake Throw it away to the wind and start again Throw it away to the wind and start again

Burning, oh the sky is burning Holy red lights dazzling this judgment day Yearning, I can feel the yearning Of the lawless jaws that long to carry me away Light, erase this age Scarlet lights - the sky’s so blinding I’m ready for the foe that finds me Watching all the world unwinding now Crumbling down Scarlet lights - the end is nearing See the signs that you’ve been fearing Blood for a world running weary now All around Watching the world unravelling The earth begins to sing itself to sleep Slumber for this perishing age But come and wake the graves Empty graves, greet the morning Come awake O Behold! The end inaugurates a new forever Baptize it in blood And let the world rise up in flames Come hell and high Heaven Let light erase this age Erase this age Scarlet lights - the sky’s so blinding I’m ready for the foe that finds me Watching all the world unwinding now Crumbling down Scarlet lights - the end is nearing Open hearts no longer fearing Blood for a world running weary now All around Look to the red skies

about

"Domicile" was recorded during the summer of 2021, during the Covid-19 Pandemic. While live shows were still not possible, we decided to pre-record and stream a semi "live" concert as a way to stay connected to our listeners, and to have fun with some friends in our local scene.

The video of the streamed concert can be seen here: youtu.be/9k5MLHYA0iY

This was also our first "performance" since the departure of Sid Harris from the band. Sid stepped down from the band in order to focus more on his numerous other music projects. He remains a friend and brother of the band, and we were lucky to have him jump on board to deliver some of his vocal parts that didn't end up making the cut on the album version of "Red Sky." This is also the first time that Sid has performed metal-style screamed vocals.
