Looming Dawn is another original piece of music making its first appearance on this EP. Previously, Max has had one finger-style acoustic guitar piece (Autumn Evening Light, from Swimming To The Stars B) – and this time it's Jericho's turn to have his own finger-style solo. This track is our first classical guitar piece, which grew out of Jericho's work on the acoustic version of Burning In My Mind. Initially Jericho was going to use this tremolo picking style during the bridge of that song - but rhythmically, it clashed too much with the other instruments. We decided to make it into a solo piece instead, and Jericho extended his original composition to include a longer improvised melodic ending.
